Radio Horton's Vice President, Bobby Bragg, pictured, seated, in
our studio with Station Manager Stewart Green, has been in show
business for over 29 years. He started as an impressionist and
comedian and has progressed through summer seasons and pantomimes to
television's top warm-up man.
Bobby, who lives just outside Banbury, has worked on virtually
every game show, situation comedy and chat show made by the BBC or
ITV networks - to date well over 4000 television programmes.
A highly talented entertainer, he has worked on such diverse
shows as Supermarket Sweep (it is his voice you hear doing the
commentary during the trolley dash), Gladiators, Keeping Up
Appearances, The National Lottery, Family Fortunes and Who Wants To
Be A Millionaire?
In 1998, he was the warm-up man when British episodes of the
smash-hit American series, Friends were filmed in London, and he
made newspaper headlines when - because of studio delays in
recording until 3am! - he ordered 600 pizzas for the audience.
Happily, the TV bosses did pay up!
Bobby's TV appearances include One Foot in the Grave, The Brittas
Empire, The Upper Hand, Bullseye and the aforementioned Supermarket
Sweep.
He keenly supports Banbury's Hospital Station and when time
allows he very much enjoys popping down to our studio below F Ward
for a chat. Bobby has recorded several very entertaining half-hour
interviews with Ted Hanson, one of Radio Horton's two founder
members.
