The Lynden Players present the play ‘Bouncers’ by John Godber
Middleton Cheney Village Hall
It’s a very funny play and it should be a great evening
‘Bouncers’ is, as the title suggests, a play about four bouncers.
The bouncers (Eric, Les, Judd and Ralph) are standing outside a night club on a Friday night some time during the 80s. They pass the time and alleviate their boredom by discussing the various characters whom they expect to see arriving at their club during the course of the evening, college students out after a rugby tour, local girls out celebrating a birthday, local lads out ‘on the pull’,punks, scousers, yuppies....The bouncers imitate these characters and comment on the things they typically get up to, whilst at the same time carrying on their own personal squabbles with each other.
At times hilarious and at times thought-provoking, the play is a fast-paced review of nightlife in a typical 80s nightclub.
The play contains some adult themes and is not suitable for young children.

Lynden Players are performing the play as a ‘theatre and supper evening’ which means that people will be seated at tables and served a ‘tapas’ style meal during the interval.
There is also a licensed bar available for drinks
Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start on both nights
Tickets are priced at £10 including food
Tickets are available for purchase individually or by the table
(8 people per table)

To purchase tickets, contact Barry Coles on 01295 712427
