Banbury’s old town area was swathed in sunshine, music and bright colours this weekend as the town celebrated with its annual summer party.
Organised by Banbury Town Council and the Old Town Association, Radio Horton was delighted to support the event once again. The event showcases the various independent traders in the area and is also host to the Street Organ Festival.
Parsons Street, Church Lane and Market Place hosted free face painting, balloon modelling, a steel drum band, limbo dancing, live jazz, organ grinders and stilt walkers!
Meanwhile, the Joanne Mills School of Dance delighted the crowd of onlookers with their contemporary dance sets and of course, Radio Horton was there to provide the music and announcements for the day.
Special thanks must go to our friends at the Whistling Kettle Cafe, who kept the Radio Horton team hydrated and well fed throughout the day with their delicious cakes, sandwiches and cuppas!!
Radio Horton team members for the event were Tom Wilson, Jon Cox, Olga Wilson, Lisa Simmons and Jack Richardson. Thanks also to Kevin Matthews.
