Tell us about your role and volunteering experience at Radio Horton:
My interest in radio started in the 60’s with the BBC Light program, Radio Luxembourg and the Pirate stations. I was influenced by Kenny Everett who was not only a presenter but used his technical skills to enhance his unique broadcasting style.Although I’m not a presenter I have spent my time on Radio Horton in the role of a studio engineer. The role is always challenging with new technology around the corner.
What would be your top three Desert Island Discs?
Difficult to decide and tomorrow I will change my mind but for today:
- Elton John – Recover Your Soul
- Celine Dion – First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
- Four Tops – I Like Everything About You
Music artists that have influenced you:
Holland Dozier Holland and Motown. Elton John, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beach Boys. Rod Stewart. Nile Rogers. To name but a few I could carry on but the list is endless.
